It may not feel like it, but Labor Day has come & gone, and with it our white shoes and bikinis.  But don’t feel too beach-bummed yet, end your summer on the best high note, with a bucket full of bargains.

That’s right, with the end of summer so too is the end of garage sale season, I hate to say goodbye to either.  So to send of the season with a bang, I’m breaking down the best of the weekend treasure finds.

As you well know, some of the best scavenging takes place at moving sales & boy do I have a doozie.  Down in South Nashville, a couple who is getting hitched later this year is selling off the unwanteds:  kitchen duplicate items, holiday decor, lamps, furniture and plenty more.

Over in Antioch one family is selling off some king bed items, tons of clothes and interesting office furniture if you’re setting up that home office for the first time.

And last, in Nipper’s Corner, there is a hip, happenin’ yard sale that’s advertizing free lemonade & naming your own price on the goods.  Now that’s what I call a worthwhile event!

Seven years ago today we were beginning to understand the news reports about the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

Let’s not think of today as a highly-politicized and fought-over series of numbers, but as a solemn remembrance of those who perished and of those who risked their lives.

Well folks, the Presidential election is less than 60 days away!  That means that if you’re not up-to-date on your voter registration card or an unregistered voter, it’s high time to get moving on that.  No time for the guilty, just get ’er done.

It generally takes around 30 days to receive your new or update registration card, so if you get on that this week you might still have time for early voting!

Come on, Nashville!  Let’s beat those voting records from four years ago, no matter how you end up voting!  I’ve even made it easy for you, click here & you’re on your way.

Awww, come on!  How can you resist that adorable face!  Say hello to your new pal, Daisy.  At a mere two years of age, Daisy is quite the accomplished pooch.

Weighing in at 30 pounds, this Beagle & Terrier mix is the perfect size for snuggling and side-by-side long walks.  Can’t you just see yourself & Daisy enjoying Shelby Park together?

All you have to do is go by the Nashville Humane Association & say you saw Daisy here!
