election-day.jpgIt’s finally that day of days.  Election Day 2008 has come to shore at last.  If you were unable to hit the polls for early voting, you’re in for a full treat.  Reports are coming out that the Nashville polls are going to be packed more than ever this year, which is great news, but bring along a book to celebrate the increase in voting.

Do you already have your Election Day party scheduled?  If not, head on over to 12th & Porter for their Election Day Fried Turkey Party feat featuring Jeremy Lister.  Sink your teeth into some fried turkey, discuss your views and listen to the dulcet tones of Lister.  Sounds like a math made in heaven.

samuel-wurzelbacher.jpgWow.  Thanks to Governor Palin, Joe the Plumber is going to have work for centuries, and not even plumbing work at that.

Joe the Plumber, aka Ohio-native Samuel Wurzelbacher, has just signed with a Nashville-based Public Relations and Management company.

The Press Office represents an array of clients including John Anderson and the Gatlin Brothers.  Jim Della Croce of Nashville’s Press Office stated that Wurzelbacher is, “a complicated guy with a very dynamic personality.”

Something else in the works for Joe as well, a possible record deal.

Apparently I need to get mentioned by someone, “Allison the blogger….”  Has a nice ring to it anyway.

Nashville Predators Knock Out Chicago Blackhawks In Shootout

preds-blackhawks-game.jpg

Last night’s Predators hockey game saw victory.  With the season just now underway and with one loss under their belt, the win against the Chicago Blackhawks let everyone know the Preds don’t stay down for long.

The final score was 3-2 Preds, but the Hawks kept the team moving at the United Center.   The Preds’ Rich Peverley & J.P. Dumont scored in the shootout past Blackhawk Cristobal Huet, and no-one could stop the tremendous play from there.

I think I speak for all of us Nashvillians when I say, this just might be a pretty good hockey year…
