The upscale nightclub Layl’a Rul located on 20th Ave South will be closing its doors for good, I am sad to report.  The actual closing date has not yet been released but I have it from a pimp named Slim, that the doors will shut sometime this spring.

Owner Chris Hyndman is telling everyone who will listen that this is not news to be sad over, as he has his heart set on another secret project he’s promising we’ll love just as much.

“This is not a sad thing or a negative thing. It’s a business decision,” Hyndman stated.

“We just have a much better deal on the horizon, and it’s good to go out on our own terms and on a high note, when we have been so busy. Our VIPs will still be VIPs at Virago and Lime, and guests can still look forward to seeing all the familiar faces on staff. We are excited about new opportunities. If people liked Layl’a, they will love the new project.”

I guess I can force myself into positivity, even though that’s hard on any day, and it’s Monday at that.  I’ll keep you updated on the actual closing date of Layl’a & letcha know of any closing week shenanigans.
