nashville-cat-rescue.jpgMost of you know that I’m a sucker for anything furry, be it kitten, puppy, beaver or lamb, I don’t pick favorites.  Well, today I hope to extend that love to you through Nashville.Petfinder.com and Nashville’s Humane Society.

It’s kitten season around the US and that means one of three things.  One, think about adopting or providing a foster home for a stray kitten.  Two, think on sending some charity money the Nashville Humane or Nashville.Petfinder.com’s way.  Three, get your animals spayed and/or neutered, people!!!

Here’s the facts, Nashville Cat Rescue is getting callings for over 35 cats per day that need a helping hand and a place to call home.  Nashville Humane Society is receiving countless cat and dog calls over the summer due to a high rate of litters as well as a rise in abandoned pets due to the current economy and job crisis.

All the animal shelters and rescue agencies are overwhelmed so it’s time to step up and I’m not just giving out talk, our little family has adopted a kitty into the fold as well as sent a small check to the ASPCA to help out during this time of need.

Here’s how you can help.  Contact Megan Brodbine from Nashville Cat Resuce to find out how you can provide a foster home for these kittens, send a donation or volunteer in the effort.  You can also contact the Nashville Humane Society for volunteer and adopting opportunities.
