Starting at 6m Wednesday evening Hootie and The Blowfish, along with the Drew David Band will taking the stage at Wildhorse. The tickets are going for quite a variety, $35, $65, $75, $85 and $150, just depends on how excited about this show you are really.

German DJ legend Paul Van Dyk will be hitting the City Hall stage Tuesday night at 9pm, you gonna be there or what?
The ages 18+ show is said to be mind blowing & will change the way you think about…everything? Dyk prefers a soft & easy trance dance-pop, and tonight’s show shouldn’t be an exception. Bring some of those very infamous shoes to gaze at, darling!
Cost of tickets range from $20 to $35.

First off, how many of you went to Bonnaroo? Not reporting huge ticket sells, Bonnaroo has been not only a disappointment in numbers but also, as I hear it, in Kanye West’s performance.
I suppose that you crazy Manchester-goers are still getting back to the grind of things & may still be trying to get all that mud off or get the car out of that mud, btw- try deflating those tires first, but maybe just maybe there is someone out there that can give us the skinny, the low-down on the affairs and goings-on at Bonnaroo this year…..

You know what the best thing about today is? That it’s not Monday & that you survived yesterday to tell about it. That’s the best thing.
The second best thing about today is a free show at Layla’s Bluegrass Inn, you can’t beat that with a Magnolia stick, eh?
The quirky foursome, Jypsi, will be performing at the Bluegrass Inn this evening from 4pm-8pm and the show’s on the house. Just pay for the gas to 418 Broadway & you’re set, though you might want to buy a drink or two or three or maybe twelve.

Congrats, you’ve made it this far into the year, and it’s CMA Music Festival week at that. Good job not throwing in the towel before now.
The CMA Music Festival opens this Thursday, June 5th and a record number of 68 companies will be marketing to this event; everyone from People magazine to Coca-Cola, so come prepared with the only answer you need, “No.”
Known in latter years as Fan Fair, the CMA Festival has turned into quite the attractive monster, attracting folks the likes of American Idol winner Carrie Underwood. This year is expected to top all records, so you might wanna finally check it out.

Despite the fact that there is only one of the old school members backing The Wailers, there is no better bassist than Aston “Family Man” Barrett. Just goes to show you that the family man outshines them all?

An Evening with John Prine At the Belcourt Theatre

You know him & love him… John Prine is taking the stage tonight at the ole Belcourt Theatre to lend his dulcet tones to support cancer.
Prine will take the stage at 7:30pm Tuesday evening to benefit Gilda’s Club, a cancer support center named after comedian Gilda Radner. Tickets start at $70 and go up to $150.

Yay! I’m finally back! I thought it might be a good idea to visit Austin, Texas for a spell, but I missed Nashville too much to eva leave again.
So, now that I’m back, I’m here to tell ya whatcha gotta do tonight. You need to head on down to Mercy Lounge for a cancer benefit show. The gig starts around 9pm & the minimum donation is $10 & you’ll feel good doing it, I know.
The band line-up is some folks called the Features, Ricky Young and The Slow Films, Cassino, Tommy & The Whale and Pico Vs. Island Trees. Not too shabby, eh?
