Anyone can tell you how many people showed up and what the action looked like. Only PredJoe can tell you what it all means.
Way to go PJ. Here’s to hoping we have Preds hockey in Nashville for years and years to come.

Preds rally tonight!
Thursday
Jul 19, 2007
Want to show your support for the Preds? Then head down to the Our Team public rally tonight at 6:00 pm at the Sommet (som-may) Center. Besides showing your appreciation for the boys in blue and gold, here are five reasons you should definitely show up tonight:
- Players Ryan Suter and Vern Fiddler will be showing off the team’s new uniforms
- Tennessee’s First Lady Andrea Conte will be one of the featured speakers
- Game used equipment will be on sale at the Predators’ Garage Sale
- Save The Predators will be selling t-shirts (proceeds go towards purchasing season tickets for charitable organizations)
- George Plaster will probably say something like “Hey, this ain’t my first rodeo.”

First Hartnell and Timonen; Now Kariya and Forsberg?

Is there any hope for hockey in Nashville if we lose these two as well?
Scott Hartnell and Kimmo Timonen are now Philadelphia Flyers

Are we seeing the beginnings of a fire sale?
Look, I’m a fan, and I’d love to see the boys stay around for years and years to come, but part of me thinks that reaching that magic number of 14,000 in average game attendance is just not realistic. Let’s all be realists for a moment: As a good friend of mine just pointed out, we couldn’t hit that goal with Forsberg and Kariya on the ice and with the entire town talking about contending for the cup, so why do we think we can do it now? Do we need Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux to come out of retirement to don the blue and gold?
