Pacman Jones + Pro Wrestling
Tuesday

Pacman Jones is going to be a professional wrestler.
Pacman Jones is not going to be a professional wrestler.
In the name of all that is good and clean and skank-free, what is this guy thinking?
SIDE NOTE: I never thought I would ever have to tag a blog post with the term “Professional Wrestling.” God help us all.

Parra is Perfect
Tuesday
Jun 26, 2007
Nashville Sounds pitcher Manny Parra pitched a perfect game against the Round Rock Express yesterday. The
24-year-old Parra notched only the eighth perfect game in Pacific Coast League history. He struck out 11 in the history-making effort.
Seriously, this is a big deal. Perfect games (Only the minimum of 27 batters are faced and no one reaches base) happen once in a lifetime, maybe.
Congratulations Manny. Well done.

Are we seeing the beginnings of a fire sale?
Look, I’m a fan, and I’d love to see the boys stay around for years and years to come, but part of me thinks that reaching that magic number of 14,000 in average game attendance is just not realistic. Let’s all be realists for a moment: As a good friend of mine just pointed out, we couldn’t hit that goal with Forsberg and Kariya on the ice and with the entire town talking about contending for the cup, so why do we think we can do it now? Do we need Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux to come out of retirement to don the blue and gold?
File this under “You can’t be serious.”
