Which Wich #16 of 51 - The Turkey Reuben
Friday

How I had it: The standard issue Turkey Reuben comes with turkey, kraut & 1000 Island. Ihad it on wheat bread and added provolone, deli mustard, tomatoes, bell peppers and black pepper. It looked a little like this:
Yep, there’s no picture here. You know why? I was too hungry. It’s the truth people. I just plain forgot to snap a picture. Hey, it happens sometimes, right? Sorry about that.
I also had House chips and water. I forgot the veggies. Sue me.
How it was: Delicious. I had a sandwich epiphany today. The brilliance of WW is not the design of the store or the simple yet interactive ordering procedure. The brilliance of WW is that you can have your sandwich your way. Try walking into Jason’s Deli and ordering a Turkey Reuben with Cheez Whiz and jalapenos. It ain’t gonna happen people. I’ve always enjoyed Reubens, but you know what? I’ve never really liked rye bread and secretly I’ve always wanted to dress it up a little. So that’s what I did. I had it on wheat and added provolone and those veggies and deli mustard and black pepper to my Turkey Reuben. And you know what? It was the best Turkey Reuben I’ve ever had. Sandwich purists may scream “Blasphemy!” but to you I say this: “It’s my wich, my way. Now back off!”
So what about Monday? Should I have…
- The Tuna Melt
- The Bacon & Egg
- The Italian Beef (with giardiniera)
- The Myhami (ham & roast beef)
- The Hummus & Bell Peppers
Which Wich #15 of 51 - The Gyro

I’ve been blogging the whole Which Wich menu over at my personal blog for a while now. From now on I’ll be posting them here as well. For my previous WW posts, click HERE.

Seriously, Amy Mo (a friend of mine in the office) is starting to take this “arting” of my sandwich bags pretty seriously. She practically drew the whole freaking country of Greece on today’s bag. And look at the detail! I’m not sure if you can make it out, but that word written on the scroll that the Toga Dude is holding? Look closely.

It’s Greek for “sandwich.” Seriously.
How I had it: The standard issue Gyro comes with Gyro meat, Tzatziki, lettuce, tomato and onion. I had it on white bread and didn’t dress it up at all. It looked like this:

I also had: Veggies from home and a big glass of cold water.
How it was: The Gyro struck me as one of the neatest Wiches I’ve enjoyed. Neat as in clean. Very well put together. The bread was some of the freshest tasting I’ve had, but the overall taste of the Gyro was a tad bit on the bland side. A few suggestions that could really make it solid: 1)Feta cheese - A Gyro without feta is like a BLT without T. 2)More spice on the Gyro meat - The meat lacked a little in the flavor department. 3)Be liberal with the Tzatziki sauce - I didn’t have much on my Gyro, and I imagine a little more would have added quite a bit to the overall flavor of the Wich. If you guys really wanted to go nuts, you’d create some type of tabouli-esque relish to add to the standard issue Gyro.
I’ll be out of pocket tomorrow and Wednesday, so that will give you two strong days of voting on Thursdays Wich.
As for Thursday, what do you think? Should I haveā¦
- The Tuna Melt
- The Turkey Reuben (kraut & 1000 island)
