Wednesday
May 28, 2008
The Wailers will be hitting the Wildhorse Saloon Wednesday, May 28 at 6pm.
Despite the fact that there is only one of the old school members backing The Wailers, there is no better bassist than Aston “Family Man” Barrett. Just goes to show you that the family man outshines them all?
Tickets are $24.50. See you there, going to have to skip Wooten Wednesday for this one.

Bret Michaels Wants To Help Your Weekend Boredom
Friday
Mar 7, 2008

Nothing to do this weekend? Kinda bored of all this rain & wanna get out and do a little partying? Well then, good ole Poison-man himself, Bret Michaels, has just the thing for you.
Friday night at the Wildhorse Saloon, Michaels will be reigning in the stage starting at 6pm, but you know how that goes, he’ll probably be on at midnight. Yes, for only $35, you too can participate in such hits as, “Talk Dirty To Me” or “Every Rose Has Its Thorns.”
Speaking with the Tennessean’s Cindy Watts, Bret said of tonight’s show, “The Wildhorse show will be unbelievably incredible.”
“It’s very important people know I play all the Poison hits in the show. It’s a full-on show. It’s a full-on band. We’ll do solo songs, the new ones and some cover stuff. It’s like an electrified Storytellers. It’s a rock party.”
The star of VH1’s Rock of Love 2 talks a big game with those seemingly surgically augmented lips of his, but I’m going to have to leave this show up to you, as I just don’t think I could stomach it.

Live show of the night - Gin Blossoms @ Wildhorse Saloon
Wednesday
Jul 25, 2007
Wow, it looks like the Gin Blossoms have all grown up.
I grew up on these guys and all of their great “You” songs (Til I Hear It From You, Found Out About You, Follow You Down), so it does my heart good to see that they’re still going strong. The GB’s are bringing their solid brand of pop rock to the Wildhorse Saloon tonight. The show starts around 6:00 pm.
Side note: Writing this post caused me to start thinking back about some of the GB’s albums. New Miserable Experience was really, really good. I wore that thing out in high school and a lot of the tracks, if I ever hear them pop up on Lightning 100, instantly take me back to a day when I was desperately heart-broken over Jeanine or Debbie or Robin or Brea or Kim or any one of the many “loves of my life” in high school.
What about you? Are there any songs or albums that, when you hear them, whisk you away to a particular moment in your past? Isn’t it cool how music does that?
